Well if you didn't know, I sold this project, and as far as I know the one who bought it from me sold it again. So yeah, not sure what will become of it.

Why would you sell it? Are you starting something else?

Well. It was fun whilst it lasted. It just doesn't seem as cool now that Lars got rid of it. How much did you make off of it anyways?
I suppose that explains the mysterious "TalkWebDev" account. Though it doesn't explain why Lars has two accounts, unless one is an impostor!

Yeah it would've been cool. Probably sold it because he doesn't know how to build up a new web site. Remeber VGFans? Neither do I; he probably doesn't know how to promote and just sticks to ZU, which is already popular and saves him a lot of work. It's ok, starting a new web site is a little scary for some of us.

Or it could just be he's either A) Too busy, or B) Needed the money.
Building up and selling off sites is actually some people's job.

Some people run web sites for profit as well, though that is more difficult than you think. Too bad that this place may be going down the tubes, but it'd be cool if it stayed active and even prospered. Unfortunately though, the blog-like atmosphere is probably going to die off with whoever the new owner of this place is.

The goal of the site is to push it to its limits. We're currently working to drive in more traffic and members.
As this is a user forum you guys can do what you want. If you want more power or to be moderators just PM me and I will consider it based on your account and how active you have been or would like to be.
In all honesty, I will be doing some limited optimization to the site to pick up rankings. If the forum grows steadily then I will push the optimization hard!
So, anyone who wants to be more active, PM me for moderator consideration.
I have already given some members additional moderator permissions.
Any promotional ideas to push the site are more than welcome, and I absolutely plan to give away a VB License (currently the most voted) for and work above and beyond the norm. If the forum moves forward well, then any income coming in will go to the members for future contest giveaways!
Please do not spam any ads though, I am more than willing to cover any promotions as needed, there are too many click-through fraud police these days.
I will remain semi-active here and accomodate any members requests for new threads, forums and sub-forums and additional moderator permissions - if needed.

Sounds fun. What, no mod powers for me? I'm stunned.

Yeah, I'll probably be sticking around. Maybe even refer a few people over, but I can't make any promises on that.
It also would be nice if we knew the name of this new webmaster. Even just a first name. Or an internet alias even. Just calling him/her "TalkWebDev" feels really strange.
