Default Photoshop or Paintshop Pro?

Which do you prefer?

Personally, I like Photoshop a lot more than Paintshop Pro. I found PSP's interface to be poor. Although some of their features reminded me strongly of Fireworks MX. I just find Photoshop to be easier to use. With each update they don't seem to, um, change everything. It's always the same sort of thing, with the slight modification here or there. I just find it easier to use.

You left Fireworks out of the title! I'm going to kill you!

Fireworks MX = teh awesome.

The interface for FMX is just awesome. I've grown so used to all the docked windows and such that it's harder for me to go back to Photoshop. My only complaint is that nobody makes brushes and stuff for Fireworks.

I have so much trouble with Fireworks. It's because I am new to it and I cannot seem to work out how to do it properly. But it is not as hard as Illustrator. Now that is ridiculously complicated.

I must admit, Fireworks does have a great interface. I'm just no good at controlling it! lol

PhotoShop, hands down. I've been using it more or less exclusively since I started with web related work, and I've never been given any good reasons to switch to something else, because PhotoShop has always filled my needs.

And Archaic Sage, Illustrator is mainly for vector based works. You're helpless without it when it comes to work for print, unless you make your images at insanely high resolutions!

Yeah I know. It doesn't really get that nasty pixel blobs around it when you enlarge the images. It's helpful. I was testing it out for creating some icons when I was bored. I found it ridiculously difficult.

Fireworks has some good vector tools, but I find Photoshop's to be near enough pathetic. But that may be my inapt skills with vectors.

Hehe, I prefer Paint Shop Pro, allthough I know that Photoshop is more powerfull.
it's just that the Photoshop layout is horrible (compared to Paint Shop Pro). offcourse those who use Photosohp say the same thing about PSP, so that's and argument that can go on forever.

Anyway, I don't see myself using Photoshop if they don't do a major renewal of the layout and design on their program. I would like to use it, but it's just horrible to work with.

PSP > Photoshop. It's just an ease of use thing. Photoshop confuses me with all it's cluttered buttons and boxes.

I always used to use PSP, but I have started using Photoshop recently. It has some great functions, especially for blending. But every now and then I have to resort to PSP to get something done.

I always use Photoshop as I know the interface the best. Which is more than likely the reason why you go back to PSP.
