For lots of good free fonts, go http://www.1001freefonts.com/ .

Um, lots of fonts are there and they make your images look good...

A good font can make or break a signature or image.

A whole site sometimes!

I didn't know of the first site you mentioned Archaic, thanks for that. But yeah, choosing a suitable font for a design is necessary and mainting a good variety of fonts is also another necessity for a designer.

But. When it comes to fonts... The one who sees the font has to have the same font on his/her computer! If not, it would most probably just become arial or another basic font....

There are a way to embed fonts. But I dont know it...

You can add fonts to pictures... Then they would look similar in any browser/computer...

Remember! wysiwyg is wysiwyg, not wysiwog

What you see is what you get......

NOT

What you see is what others get...

But certainly. Fonts are great.

Godteri: That's why, if you're using fancy fonts, you always use them as a part of an image or graphic, not the font directly.

You should really never use fancy fonts directly as text on a site, as the chances are big that the viewer doesn't have the font.

Yep, I never use any fonts par the default on my website if it's text, as it would just look like Arial most of the time for most people anyway. Images are the most important part for fancy text.

Yeah - Like Lars and Archaic Sage said, when using fancy fonts, you had better use them as part of graphics, or the results won't be seen to the average user either way.

Personally, I'm a big fan of simple, curvy fonts. They make excellent choices for use in logos especially.

I'm in love with one called Viking at the moment. It's very strong and dynamic.

Stupid me... Never making myself clear enough...

The wysiwig ≠Wysiwog is a good rule though...
