Choosing A Webhost
OK, I found a webhost that I wanna use for a website I'm working on. So I was wondering, do you think this would be good to start out with? I plan on having MIDIs and crap on my site, too. Will I need a lot more space?
I'll have to pay $1.45 a month(i think a month).
Payment terms are 1 year (whatever that means, could someone explain?)
Setup is free.
Get 600 MB of space
6 GB Data Transfer
Unlimited Mail Accounts
I didn't go to the site to see more stuff about it (like whether it has PHP, MySQL databases, that crap)
Oh yea it's hosted on a Linux.

Well if you're going with a paid host then you should go with http://www.shieldhost.com . It cost more, put I believe it's better, you should check them out first. Though I've never used the service, because my Dad had bad experiences getting webhosting before (off fasthost).

Cheapest hosting 2.99 a month...That's not bad but I really need something cheaper.....My site would last longer. I have almost nothing in my wallet and only so much in the bank....Does anyone have a good webhost that's as good as Shield Host?
EDIT-
Er.....I migh t be getting a DS soon and that's gonna take a lot away from my bank account. does anyone have anything as good/just about as good as Shield host, but you barely have to pay anything(like 83 cents? I've seen it before)?

"1 year payment terms" and what-not means you have to pre-pay everything. So, you can pay by the month, or save some money in the long run and pre-pay an entire year.
Also, I'm just using up my friend's webspace. Yeah, I got lucky.

Try http://www.ecwhost.com/ - ECWhost. It's expensive-ish, but you get loads of features and the customer service is superb. I was lucky enough to get a free account before they closed signups for them, too. 8)

A lot more expensive, $7.99 a month when I looked into them. But it gave you 7gig a DAY of bandwidth and a gig or two of space. They looked pretty good.
