Question google help

I may move my site to a new host and I was wondering if I can take my old url out of google and just put in my domain name: hylianhelpdesk.com

http://images.google.com/images?q=h...lr=&sa=N&tab=wi
that all goes to my nexuschat.com/zelda URL

thats the only google I see with my hylianhelpdesk.com URL

So how can I take my old URL out of google?(when i move)

Wow, I only just noticed this topic.

Anyway, if this hasn't be answered somewhere else, you can simply just go here and get it removed. You must then submit your site again (by going here) and then it will take a few days to index it and your site will be at the domain and not the old one.

Default Use a 301 Redirect

You can keep any benefits of the old URL by using a 301 Redirect (Moved Permanently). This will credit the new site with any incoming links from the old site and tell Google that your site has permanently moved to a new URL.

This is the safest way to change the URL it will help your new site. Just make sure you do not use a meta refresh or a 302 redirect (Moved Temporarily).

You will have to keep the account hosted and it is recommended that you have an index.html file that has some of your content and keywords on it. Just make sure it is not a copy of the new sites home page. Avoid duplicate content. The 301 redirect is added to the .htaccess file on the server as so:
Redirect 301 / http://www.yourdomain.com/
