Default TalkWebDev Grand Opening!

It's been a long time coming, but after being put on hold for quite a while, TalkWebDev is finally "officially" open. For the past couple of months, the community has been open for people to register and participate in, but nothing has been done to promote it, and therefore activity has never really picked up.

However, now that we've officially opened up, we will be working on promoting TalkWebDev to web developers out there, and hopefully some of the "tricks" we've got up our sleeves will help bring active members and participants to our growing community.

In the near future we will be holding several "Promotion Competitions" involving great prizes such as vBulletin, Invision Power Board and SubDreamer licenses, SitePoint Books and much more, so be sure to stay tuned. We can already now reveal that these competitions will be related to user activity, so by starting already now by becoming an active member of the community, you might get a head start in the competition(s)!

There is still some work that remains to be done, that is redesigning most of the buttons here, setting the community rules in stone, but all of this will be done in the near future. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve the user experience here at TWD, don't hesitate to post them in the Feedback, Suggestions & Questions section, and they will most certainly be taken into consideration.

Other than that, not much remains to be said other than welcome to TalkWebDev, and hopefully you'll enjoy your stay and tell your friends about us.

vBulletin license? Awesome, you just made me stick around for the contest, that's for sure.

And great work on the site so far, can't wait to see what else you've got up your sleeve, as you put it!

a VB license is really tempting. Now, your skin is damn appealing.

That's why I'm hoping that it'll lure new users to our community - and thanks for that

I wouldn't mind a vBulletin License, at all. I don't have one, and I'm itching to get a website open. Hehe.
